LOW-CARBON TAXI FLEET FOR COMCAB

It has been reported by Taxi Cab News that Eco City Vehicles are to supply 10 Vito V models to Computer Cab (ComCab). Delegates at the Eco City Vehicles AGM were told that the company has received an order for 10 of its Euro V Mercedes Vito taxis from Computer Cab, which boasts around 3,000 vehicles on the London taxi circuit. The new vehicles, to be delivered shortly, are earmarked for ComCab's new rental fleet consisting exclusively of top-of-the-line Vito taxis. This fleet has been launched as part of ComCab's drive to introduce more environmentally friendly and cost-efficient vehicles to the London taxi market. The Vito cab promises to lower emissions and meets the Euro V air quality standards, which come into force at the beginning of 2012. The deal will bring the number of Vito Vs on the capital's roads to around 60. Eco City Vehicles has agreed a new deal with Mercedes Benz that will see the German giant take over manufacturing of the Vito taxi.
